It appears that Apple is moving quickly to get many of its retail outlets looking their best before the new iPhone appears in a few weeks. MacRumors is reporting that a number of stores are being renovated at the current time to bring them up to the latest standards of the store design.
The renovations don't take a tremendous amount of time. The stores are closed for about a week, with the usual black construction barriers covering the windows and notices pointing potential customers to the nearest Apple Store and Apple's website.
Among the stores having a little polish applied before a big launch are the Chestnut Street store in San Francisco, the University Village store in Seattle, the Walnut Creek location in Walnut Creek, CA, the Biltmore in Phoenix and the Sagemore store in Marlton, New Jersey.
