CNIL, the technology "watchdog" agency in France, is continuing its investigation begun in April over the unencrypted iPhone 4 storage of location data, even though a spokesmen acknowledges that the data was only stored locally and not transmitted back to Apple or developers. CNIL head Yann Padova also admitted that Apple has "improved" its communication with customers about when and why such data may be collected....
